tcbiomass2024 (10–12.9.2024, IL, U.S.) focused on the science of thermochemical conversion of biomass and municipal solid waste (MSW) to renewable methane, LPG, liquid fuels, and chemicals. This unique conference highlighted the science of thermochemical conversion and real commercial opportunities for deployment of this technology.
At this year’s tcbiomass2024 conference, Sanna Tuomi, VTT delivered a presentation titled “Hybrid Gasification-Synthesis Process with CO2 Recycling to Improve Synthetic Fuels Yield and Carbon Efficiency – Techno-Economic Assessment”.
The presentation examined the techno-economics of producing Fischer-Tropsch syncrude or methanol through hybrid routes and compared them with those of the base configuration.
The conference attendees also had the opportunity to take a guided tour at the GTI Energy campus labs and gasification pilot facilities.
